You know things have escalated when AI isn’t just part of your LinkedIn feed or your 9-to-5, it’s also casually running the after-school shift.
I used to think AI was just another shiny tool I’d wrestle into submission for work; cranking out paid media optimizations, refining brand voice with GPTs, automating wikis in Notion, even generating banner ads without pulling my hair out. But now, it’s become clear: AI has officially jumped the ship.
And by “ship,” I mean my life.
Because now, when I get home, the real AI experts are waiting: two small but mighty CEOs-in-the-making, ages 7 and 9. Their latest entrepreneurial endeavor? A Boba Bunny Party Bus. Yes. A pastel, hop-powered, tapioca-slinging vehicle of joy. But that’s not all — they needed logos, visuals, and a full business plan stat.
Naturally, they turned to ChatGPT. And Gemini. And me, their unpaid Creative Director, CFO, and Chief of Snacks.
Apparently, they have KPIs. Apparently, I have deliverables.
Meanwhile, I’m over here wondering how I even got here. One minute I’m feeding Meta a new AI-powered creative strategy; the next, I’m watching two children passionately debate font choices for the “Boba Bunny” logo and requesting “a more KPoP demon version, please.” (Not sure about where this one came from, afraid to ask).
At this point, I’m not sure where the AI ends and the chaos begins.
My 9-year-old recently asked me if she could “fine-tune a GPT for her youtube channel” (she doesn’t have a youtube channel).
I said no.
She said, “Well, you could probably do it by next weekend.”
I said no again.
She sighed and asked me to “at least prompt Midjourney for a background board.”
I gave her a juice box and changed the subject.
So yes – AI is everywhere.
At work, it’s transforming workflows.
At home, it’s enabling bunny-based beverage startups.
And me? I’m somewhere in between, simultaneously terrified and wildly impressed.
Because while AI might have jumped the ship, my daughters are steering it now, in full sparkle-coded CEO mode, tiny fingers flying across keyboards, demanding a logo revamp and a boba supply chain.
Honestly? I’ve never been prouder. Or more exhausted.
But mostly proud.
(And slightly concerned that my next role will be Head of AI Strategy… for a Las Vegas party bus.)
